DUI (also known as Driving Under the Influence or Drink Driving) is when someone is driving a motor vehicle above the blood alcohol limit. In most states in Australia, the amount of alcohol should not exceed 0.05%, however this limit may vary from state to state and depending if you are a Learner, P Plater or have a full drivers license.
Will I Lose My License?
We cannot guarantee anything on behalf of the courts but we can assure you that having good legal advice and good court representation by experienced barristers can and most likely will reduce your penalties. This could mean cutting the time you would have lost your license, preventing you from doing community service and a potential reduced fine.
Take Urgent Action
If you have been stopped for drink driving, you should urgently contact My Lawyers to discuss your options. The right or wrong move will have drastic consequences in the future. So, it's best to be well advised from the start. Our goal is for you to receive the minimum penalty and if possible, prevent you from losing your license in the first place particularly if you are a professional driver and or need your drivers license for work, health and family reasons.
